ChatON: Whatsapp on steroids
For all those who haven’t heard of ChatON, it is a global multimedia communication platform from Samsung (much like BBM, Whatsapp, ichat).
What I really like about it is the multitude of features including customizable animated messages, interactive smileys, media sharing capabilities (including location, calender, contacts, documents and more). All my friends who I have brought on board love it and the mutual consensus is that its 5x better in terms of interactivity functionality and usability.
The only drawback is the the lack of awareness and user base. Although, it is now coming standard with all Samsung smart phones. Word is that it also works on other Apple, Blackberry, windows and other android platform smart phones. Again cannot stress enough the lack of awareness.
Samsung you need to get your marketing on!!!! The ad above is not at all powerful - the background music is too inexpressive and the characters seem to have no chemistry whatsoever.
Nina - The next generation Siri
What/Who is Nina?
Nina is a product that is going to be avaialble for ios and Android that would allow businesses to build voice capabilities similar to Siri right into their apps. Nina would also have access to all of its parent company, Nuance’s data on the industries that use its tech: banks, airlines, hotels, retailers and more.
Who is it for?
"Nina is aimed at the enterprise, essentially taking the automated call center functions you might encounter when calling an 800 number, and putting it into an app."
What is the difference between Nina and Siri?
In addition to having a Software Development Kit (SDK), one of the major differences between Nina and Siri is voice biometrics, which means Nina can actually tell that it’s you talking, and not someone who just picked up your phone. This can act as both a security and convenience feature — after all, passwords become redundant if the app can tell it’s the right person speaking just by voice.
This is going to be one exciting launch. I believe this product has the potential to make smart phones even smarter and revolutionize the mobile app market in terms of usability, functionality and interactivity. Only concern would be to make it robust and functional over data networks (strong network connection required at the moment).
The Apple Iphone 5 Leaked Ad that surfaced online. Gadget looks cool and robust. Doesn’t look like they have brought about a lot of change though. Then again you have to expect that from the folks at Apple
Google’s Project Glass
Google’s Project Glass is simply going to be the coolest, out of the world device to be launched in the near future.
This augmented reality glasses are going to be able to schedule meetings, take pictures, check the weather, access social media features, get directions, and place video calls. The information simply hovers in the user’s field of view, and the interface is controlled by voice or other inputs.
The prodouct is stated to be sold around 250$-500$ and it is going to completely revolutionaize how we all do things. I am an android user and I am proud to sanction this product and can’t wait for its arrival! Take that Siri (voice feature on Apple Iphone 4s)
Also before I forget , such a creative and unique ad that gives the audience the essence of the product and wishing for more.
