This is such a smart ad from google, I am surprised they hadn’t thought about it sooner. It showcases the story of youtube sensation and now pop idol Justin Bieber on the Chrome browser along with integrations from google search, youtube and other social media features.

Google’s Ad Mobile technology take’s Coke’s sharing values to a whole new level with Project Re: Brief Coke.
“In 2011, Google partnered with four global brands in an advertising experiment. The goal was simple - how can the ideas that defined the advertising industry in its infancy, inspire a whole new generation of creatives and marketers? We re-imagined and remade their most iconic ad campaigns from the 1960’s and 1970’s with today’s technology, led by the creative legends who made these campaigns.
See how Coca-Cola’s “Hilltop” was re-imagined. Now you can send a Coke to a stranger across the world from your phone.”
This is truly ingenious and shows the power of marketing and building brand equity in the technological era. I can buy a stranger a refreshing drink right now and then they could thank me with not only translated text, but also video. Next best think to teleportation.
Google Wallet !! (whats next?)
George Costanza from Seinfeld discovers Google Wallet - the app that makes your phone your wallet.
Youtube Rewind 2011:
Youtube has been having constant commercial success after being bought by google in 2006 for $1.65 Billion (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15196982/ns/business-us_business/t/google-buys-youtube-billion/). The site has implemented must watch advertisements before most videos, taken down videos that breached copyright, piracy and censorship laws and simply expanded like crazy.
The new look Youtube (released a few months ago) has been steamlined and categorized with a much more emphasis on channels and social media such as twitter, facebook and more importantly Google +.

Well as you can see from Youtube’s countdown of the top 10 most viewed videos of 2011 hosted by Rebecca Black (#1 most viewed video of 2011- Friday) most people still use the medium for entertainment. Although, the fact that Osama’s death, protests in Egypt and news of other natural calamities not making the news is disappointing. It is safe to say the people at Youtube probably don’t want people to go there to hear about news or mood dampening sad stuff. They have positioned the medium as a place to enjoy, listen and watch fun videos as clearly seen from the countdown.
Rebecca Black might not be the greatest singer or song writer in the world but people need to start giving this young teenager some credit. She took the effort to put up a music video, attend tv shows and press conferences and most importantly made a name for herself. Clearly Katy Perry appreciated her (in her own music video) and so does Youtube letting her host the most watched videos list (this video has over 2 million hits already). In a Digital Marketing Age where its all about leads Rebecca Black is a gold mine. Koodos to you girl your name alone will get people to watch anything.
The New Motorolola Droid Razr:
I recently saw the ad of the new Motorola Droid Razr and I must say I was impressed with Motorola or should I say Google (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6uD1JSnn1o) . As most of you already know Google purchased Motorola Mobility for 12.5 Billion in the fall to move into the smart-phone manufacturing industry enhance their Android operating system.
The Droid Razr looks like a huge splash indeed drawing back to Motorola’s single most succesful phone the Moto Razr (http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2007/05/moto-razr2-official.jpg). —> Smart Marketing Strategy associating the product with popularity, success and sleekness.
Moto Razr Droid boasts to be the thinnest smart-phone to date with Android 4.0 (ice cream sandwhich), 1.2 dual core processor and 8MP camera and brilliant Amoled display….this gadget promises to start chipping itself some market share. Apple you better launch your Iphone 5 soon and RIM get your act together because Android is charging ahead with more and more exciting phones.
